This archive contains the level 2 RPPA data for 215
glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) samples and 51
control
samples (cell lines or cell line derived)
generated by the RPPA Core Lab at the University of Texas MD Anderson

Cancer Center.

The level 2 data are the direct output of the software SuperCurve.
The program fits a nonlinear model
(logistic,
lowess or monotonously increasing splines) and estimate the
IC50 of the proteins as the expression values.
After this
step, the raw signal intensity data of a sample (5 steps of dilution)
 are turned into a signal,
log2 scale protein
expression value for downstream analysis. Since the loaded amounts of proteins can vary tremendously

from sample to sample, especially in tumor tissue samples,
further adjustment of this loading effect is recommended (level
3 data).

One shipped sample (UUID=0addd9ee-dd84-44d7-baa9-6ceb1970a97f) has not
been recognized by the Biospecimen Metadata Browser and is not included here,
but it will be include in a revised archive when the DCC figures out what has happened to this sample.
